The research team of the UIC project, together with the President of Wekerle International University and Dr János Setényi from MCC, welcomed representatives of Southwest University (Chongqing, China) for a short fact-finding visit to the Tokaj wine region.

The purpose of the visit was to explore the openness of Hungarian universities and industry stakeholders toward University–Industry Interaction (UII). During the program, the delegation visited leading wine companies, including Götz Tokaj Zrt. and the Grand Tokaj Landmark Factory, where they gained insight into local wine production processes and industry practices.

The visit also included a professional meeting with the Rector of the University of Tokaj, focusing on current challenges, opportunities, and best practices related to University–Industry Cooperation (UIC). The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and industry to support innovation, knowledge transfer, and regional development.
